White River Helicopters is owned by Sid Peltier and has been operating in the Terrace area since 1993. We are the oldest locally owned helicopter charter service in Terrace.
Our primary focus has been on the logging and forestry industry. Our clients include provincial and federal ministries, private industry, and adventure seeking individuals.

Your pilot, Sid, has logged almost 32 years and 13,000 hours in helicopter aviation, most of that time flying in the mountains of BC and Alberta. He has a lot of experience in seismic, oil and gas exploration, power line construction, as well as fire fighting throughout the western provinces, including Northwest Territories and the Yukon. He is a qualified rotary flight instructor and has over the years held the positions of Chief Pilot and Operations Manager.
He has flown numerous types of helicopters, including Jet Rangers, A-Stars, and Bell Mediums.

• We have two types of helicopters. The Jet Ranger is a 4 passenger craft that cruises at 115 mph and has a range of about 2.5 hours.
• Our other craft is a Bell LongRanger 3 that will carry 6 passengers and cruises at 130 mph and has a range of approximately 2.5 hours.

We are confident that we can accommodate a wide variety of needs for helicopter flight services, and look forward to having you join us in the sky.

The Jet boat component of our tour features an exciting 1 hour voyage on the Skeena River . During your trip you will learn about the history of the river, as well as pass through ancient historical sites, and thrilling whitewater rapids if you are the more adventurous type. The tour can also be tailored to suit those who enjoy a more relaxed, laid back pace.

The Helicopter you will be flying in is a Jet Ranger turbine driven aircraft. This is a machine with a fantastic safety record and many years of proven service in mountain conditions. The scenic flight takes you over the rugged mountain range north of Terrace.

Not only is this tour packed with fantastic scenery, and fascinating historical content, it will also be one of your best opportunities to see and photograph local wildlife, such as Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Eagle, Deer, Mountain Goat and Moose.

Geoff McKay was born and raised in Terrace. He has been piloting Jet Boats for 15 years, and provides shore excursion services to Norwegian Cruise Lines. Geoff speaks German, and graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1999 with a degree in History.

Sid Peltier is one of the most experienced Helicopter pilots in the Northwest. He is a qualified rotary flight instructor, and has nearly 32 years flying experience. Sid has logged close to 13000 hours of flight time.
